If you’ve ever lost your luggage in Phoenix, Arizona, chances are it’s been inside the home of Keith Wilson King and Stacey Lynne Legg-King in Waddell.
On Tuesday, Detective James Holmes said police have recovered more than 1,000 bags from the couple’s home in a western suburb of the city. CNN affiliate KNXV shot a video showing dozens of black luggage lined up in the front yard of their home in the shade of palo verde trees.
The couple was arrested Monday afternoon, with King facing a felony count of burglary. Legg-King, 38, is being held on a felony count of tampering with evidence as well as additional charges.
Phoenix Police Officer Luis Samudio said that they saw King walk out of the Sky Harbor International Airport with luggage that are not his so they arrested him. But King came back bringing luggage again not his own. So this time the officers followed him to his home and executed a search warrant.
The bags found were believed to have all been stolen from the same airport.
