The 61st Emmy’s is said to be full of repeats, as the shows Mad Men of AMC and 30 Rock of NBC both won top awards for best drama and best comedy. Both shows also won last year for the same categories.

Actress Glenn Close is a big winner, bagging the best drama actress for her role of Patty Hewes in the show, Damages. Bryan Cranston also was a repeat winner, as he won the best actor for a drama series for his character in AMC”s Breaking Bad.

HBO dominated the movie and miniseries category as usual, and its movie Grey Gardens won as the best TV movie. Jessica Lange took home the best actress award, while Ken Howard won as best supporting actor.

Toni Collette was a “surprise winner,” winning the best actress in a comedy series for Showtime’s the United States of Taraover.

This year’s Emmy’s was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris of the show, How I Met Your Mother.
