The latest rockstar to emerge from American Idol is set to make his debut on the big screen this November. Adam Lambert has recorded a song for the Roland Emmerich opus, 2012–an epic adventure about a global cataclysm.

Legendary guitarist of Queen, Brian May, posted on his blog that Lambert’s new song will be a number one smash, and that “Adam’s voice reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity, and awesome range and power which will make jaws drop all around the world. Its an awesome performance. No doubt about it. The world of Rock has a bright new star.”

According to MTV, the song was produced by Cavallo, who also worked with David Cook, Green Day, and My Chemical Romance. It’s also said that Meatloaf‘s drummer is involved. Wanna know where the song will be played at the movie? Word is you’ll hear it over the end credits.

From the moment I saw him and heard his voice on Idol I knew that Adam would be a superstar. That feeling was felt around the world. I was heartsick when he lost idol because of the crazy voting rules. Now that Adam is getting attention for his awesome talent it is a vindication for all of us who knew he deserved to win. November will be a great month with his album and this movie. Adam is giving his fans great gifts for the holidays.

From the moment I first saw and heard Adam on Idol I believed that he would be a superstar. That thought was felt around the world. I was shocked when he lost to that other guy because of Arkansas power texting. Now that Adam is getting great reviews for the tour and now this movie soundtrack those of us that knew Adam was the real winner feel vindicated. November will be a great month for Adam's fans, with his album coming out and now this movie, he has given us great holiday treats.

Adam is a genuine superstar who will be the ICON for this century. Just you wait and see. I saw him perform live and it blew me away. Never saw anything like it. Amazing stage presence, charisma, voice. He's absolutely incredible. When I saw him perform live (6th row) I felt like I was witnessing what those who saw Elvis or the Beatles perform, something huge in the making. So happy I'm here to witness history. Adam is a diamond in a sea of mud. He's amazing.
