So much is happening on American Idol this season.

First things first–on Thursday’s elimination, 4 hopefuls were sent home. Those who got the lowest number of votes were: John Park, Jermaine Sellers, Michelle Delamor and Haeley Vaughn. Now the competition is down to 16.

“In God there is no failure. So I leave here happy,” Sellers said. Park also expressed that he doesn’t have any regrets after hearing the bad news. But Delamor does. “I think I was so wrapped up in trying to do everything right while being judged that I kind of lost sight of just performing,” she said.

Now for an even more exciting news–Simon Cowell is getting married! And get this–he is “smitten” with his new lady love. Is it really hard to believe Simon is in love?

“You just know when you’ve found somebody special and I feel very, very happy,” 50-year-old Simon said during his interview with fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan.

Simon is marrying 36-year-old Mezhgan Hussainy, a makeup artist on American Idol.
