Early this year, British Tabloid News of the World reported the alleged planned split of the Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

The gossip tabloid even went as far as reporting that the couple were planning to legally divide their assets worth over $300 Million and arrange custody for their six kids. The news spread like wildfire although there was no truth to it. Brangelina were angered when the tabloid refused to retract and publicly apologize after releasing a false news item.

This action led the couple to no other choice but to sue. Recently, it was announced that they won the legal battle and are now receiving money for damages from the said tabloid.

The couple, who are known for being charitable and altruistic, are going to donate the money to charity. As we know, Jolie is the Goodwill Ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees; she has also adopted three kids from different parts of the world. The amount of the money, however, was undisclosed.

News of the World is now expected to publish an apology and retraction.
