Can the whistle-blower live a normal life again? This is more or less the question of Ashley Samson, the woman who outed Rachel Uchitel and her involvement with Tiger Woods.
As we all know, Tiger Woods’ world came crashing down on him right after his unfortunate car crash. The crash was minor, but what followed is probably beyong repair. One by one, Woods’s extra-marital affairs came out to public. The first “mistress” to be named was Rachel Uchitel.
And it was Samson, who was responsible for breaking to the public Uchitel’s affair with Woods. Samson said she was paid $25,000 for telling a tabloid everything she knows about the Woods scandal. Another friend of hers who echoed the same story received $10,000. But now Samson seems to be regretting what she did, because she says the issue has given her “mental anguish, fractured friendships and added stress in her personal life and her marriage.” Maybe she didn’t expect it was gonna be this huge.
For one thing, she regrets not getting the hush money of $200,000 which she says Woods’ camp offered her.
Samson adds, “I’m trying to get my f— life together and repair my reputation. It probably would have been better (to accept the $200,000) because what ended up happening was a big mess.”
