Tiger Woods is probably still the richest athlete in the world, but with all the endorsements he’s lost plus all the hush money he’s reported to have been sending to all his “mistresses,” we can’t help but be intrigued by the latest developments in his career.
We all know that several of Tiger Woods’ endorsers have finally turned their backs on him, especially after his announcement that his taking an indefinite leave from golf. (Or is it after he admitted his infidelity?) The latest to withdraw their support is AT&T.
Woods’ AT&T contract had been billed as a “multiyear” agreement when it was signed last year. While it has not been keen on using Woods’ image in ads, the AT&T logo has been very visible on the pro-golfer’s golf bag.
Woods has also been the host of the AT&T National PGA Tour event since it began in 2007. Ty Votaw, spokesman of the tour, said Woods will not anymore host the 2010 event because of the athlete’s indefinite leave.
