Reports online have indicated that YouTube has announced (through a conspicuous banner shown when relevant) that the online video streaming service will soon be phasing out support for Internet Explorer 6, possibly others. The banner also coaxes the viewer to upgrade to one of either Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox 3.5, or Internet Explorer 7, although we speculate that some previous versions will still be supported.
