Walking away with a whopping 10 nominations, Beyonce and her alter ego Sasha Fierce snagged the most 2010 Grammy award nominations, which were announced December 2.
Most of the artists with multiple nominations have been awards show favorites throughout the year.
With eight nominations, country/pop darling Taylor Swift continues her awards show take over. One of her biggest nominations comes in the Album of the Year category and sees the young star going up against big names such as Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Lady GaGa and Dave Matthews Band.
The chart success of the Black Eyed Peas’ translated into plenty of Grammy recognition. A total of six nominations were scored by the futuristic foursome.
Outspoken rapper/songwriter and producer Kanye West also received six nominations. West received all of his nominations as a featured artist and the bulk appear in the best rap/song collaboration category. He will compete against himself for collaborations with Beyonce (Ego Remix), Keri Hilson and Ne-Yo (Knock You Down), and Jay-Z and Rihanna (Run The Town).
