Actress Brittany Murphy was finally laid to rest, following her sudden and tragic death. In a private ceremony that involved family and friends, she was brought Thursday at twilight at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

The Kaddish, which is a traditional mourning prayer was recited. “Amazing Grace” was also sung.

Murphy’s cause of death was cardiac arrest, after she was found to have collapsed inside their home on early Sunday. The specific cause of death, however, will be revealed by the results of the toxicology tests.

A statement released by the family said husband Monjack called Murphy his soulmate. Also, “He went on to say that mystery is the nature of love and you never know when or where it will strike or how quickly it will be taken from you.”

Murphy was enjoying a long career in Hollywood. When she was a teenager, she appeared in TV series and some famous movies, including Clueless and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Next year, she was supposed to star in The Expendables with Sylvester Stallone.
