Carla Bruni-Sarkozy is now an actress. Yup, the first lady of France is soon to star in an upcoming movie. But not just any movie, more like a Woody Allen movie.

41-year old Bruni-Sarkozy said, “He offered me a role in his next movie. I don’t know for what character, but I said yes. I’m not an actress at all. Maybe I will be terrible. But, in my life, I cannot let such a chance go.”

Reports said she first met with Allen this year in June. Allen’s proposal came after that first meeting, and Bruni-Sarkozy agreed to be part of the film.

Bruni-Sarkozy only had a few film appearances. Her character was seen in an episode of The Simpsons where she was portrayed as a sex-mad femme fatale.

Bruni-Sarkozy has been married to French leader Nicolas Sarkozy since February 2008. She is often seen with him on his trips abroad. And only last year, she was named ambassador for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
