The cyclist and young boy sustained serious injuries and was immediately brought to Elmhurst Hospital. Odom was unhurt but obviously upset, broke down and cried.

It is devastating to know that the accident has escalated into a loss of life. The boy who shot through the air upon impact died from injuries . His condition at the hospital revealed that he had multiple head injuries and was prepped up for immediate surgery. Tragically, the patient could not recover and died the following day. His funeral was held last Monday.

This is hard for the boy’s family, and for Odom upon hearing the news.  Odom twitted: Thank you for your support and prayers! My thoughts and prayers are with the young boys family. (sic!).”

I wonder what action has been taken upon the hired driver? And whose fault was it? And what’s the update on the motorcyclist?

The cyclist and teenager were rushed to Elmhurst Hospital with serious injuries. Odom was unhurt but obviously disturbed, broke down and cried. He was in town to attend to his cousin’s funeral. The names of the two have not yet been released and little is known on their present condition.

His wife Khloe Kardashian who also in the same city was not with him in the car, contrary to initial reports who may have been misled after she tweeted: “Angels are surrounding me always. Thank you!”

Jill Fritzo, Kloe’s publicist confirmed this: “Khloe wasn’t in the car. It was a driver, and Lamar was in the back seat.”

There are no details yet on why the driver hit the boy and motorcyclist.

Odom went back to work on Friday, shooting for a Nike commercial in New York.

It was a slow start for RR Garcia and FEU, and it was DLSU’s feared defense and rebounding prowess that sent the Tams trailing for the first half. The second match brought in two predator birds in one familiar cage, the Ateneo Blue Eagles versus the Adamson Falcons. The Eagles had a strong start, and the 7-footer Greg Slaughter made his presence felt. After the first quarter, the match turned into a very slow ball game with Ateneo winning with 55-51.

“Our defense picked up last two minutes and we limited them to seven points the entire 4th quarter. That’s the reason we won the game,” said ADMU coach Norman Black.

The Heat (22-9) and Lakers (21-8) are doing great this season, their standings alone will light up your living room. Though the last time the Heat scorched the Lakers on Christmas day was back in 2004, Miami is 2 players stronger with Lebron James and Chris Bosh.

Miami has won an impressive 13 out of their last 14 games, while the Lakers snapped a 5-game winning streak at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks last Tuesday.

Dwayne Wade, who suffered from a clash of knees with Dallas Mavericks’ point guard Jason Kidd is expecting to play later even though his knee remains swollen and a bit stiff.

“My plan is to play,” Heat’s Wade said. “I’ll continue treatment and therapy but having the luxury of resting [Thursday] … was beneficial to me playing.”

At the end of the day, one shall stand and one shall fall, so says the Autobot leader, Optimus Prime. The same scenario can be said between the Bulldogs and the Fighting Irish, both still holding a perfect record of no defeats since the opening of the NCAA season.

The Bulldogs won all three of their games, their recent victory was a heartbeat win over St. Louis, 61-59. The rest were just as close, winning a digit away. Important plays are definitely a factor, thanks to their coach. To win, the opponent should pull away at the start of the period, that is, if they can.

The Fighting Irish has been victorious in all of their four games at home. Their recent victory was over the Maine Black Bears, crushing them with 97-72.

This match will prove to be exciting.

Oklahoma State is off to a perfect 3-0 start. They start it all off with a win over the Houston Baptist , 86-73, then rolled over Texas A&M- Corpus Christi by only 10 points ,68-58, and then, demolished Nicholls State, 76-56 on Sunday at home. The third victory was the 1,500th in program history, making OSUthe 34th NCAA Division I school to reach that plateau.

Meanwhile, the Blue Demons are at a 1 win 1 loss start. Burning Chicago State at the opening with 114-81, then losing to Western Carolina, 69-64.

History on their meetings: Oklahoma State has an 11-8 advantage after taking a 72-70 win in the most recent meeting that dates back in 1990 as part of the Old Style Classic at the Rosemont Horizon.

Today marks the of the Old Spice Classic in Orlando. The Badgers opened this season with two straight wins over weaker opponents at home, then lost to game three on the road. Facing UNLV, their defeat 68-65 on Saturday will definitely encourage them to push for a better performance this afternoon and get back on the track.

In similar fashion, the Jaspers grabbed back- to-back victories, until they fell on Saturday against Long Island, 91-80. Which only means, we can expect a tight match since Wisconsin will to try rebound from their recent loss.

The Badgers will have to watch out for George Beamon, who leads the Jaspers in scoring, and Michael Alvarado.

Looking at the stats, I’d say this match is as close as it gets.

The Golden Eagles are committing fewer turnovers at 10.3 vs 13.5 for the Bulldogs. The Golden Eagles are making 4.9 three pointers on 37.2 percent from three point range.
