Starting the quarter-finals in the FIFA 2009 U17 World Cup, the match between Spain and Uruguay kicks off at the Ahmadu Bello stadium in Kaduna.
The Spanish are not worried about their match up with Uruguay. The sheer number of goals they’ve made over the course of the tournament can attest to that. With already 13 goals and the whole squad in top shape, Spanish coach Gines Melendez is confident.
Uruguay surprised fans when it knocked out Asian champions Iran in the round-of-16 with an impressive 2-1 extra-time victory. Uruguay may struggle against Spain in their match due to the loss of two key defenders. Ramon Arias is suspended after collecting two yellow cards and Bruno Marchelli is out of the tournament with a broken arm sustained in the meeting with Iran.
