California had experienced a small earthquake this morning, and reports have also come in that a certain beach in Southern California had suddenly had a massive influx of beached squid.

The exact cause of why the squid, some of which are up to four feet long, suddenly ended up beached is still unknown, although there might be a passive connection between this morning’s minor quake and the phenomenon.

Check out a video of the scene after the jump.
