With a few days to go till Oscars, Hollywood is busy making all the necessary preparations for its most important night.

Those attending might still be looking for the perfect outfit, but the carpet has already been laid, and wrapped in plastic in case it rains.

Here are some juicy details about the preps:

The Academy Awards Governors Ball will have a theme of an art-deco nightclub. Bronze and purple hues will be the colors for tablecloths and napkins to the custom-made outfits on the wait staff and orchestra.

Chef Wolfgang Puck will prepare the dinner for the 4,600 guests. His menu: Kobe beef burgers topped with tomatoes and pickles, ahi tuna cones and Oscar-shaped smoked salmon finished with caviar, and the main course is a “twist on the old classic chicken pot pie.” Dessert will be chocolate Oscars, and various cakes and fancy pastries.

Puck said, “Preparations are going fantastic. We are ready.”

And they should be. The crew is composed of 300 chefs and 600 waiters.
