Could she really be Rachel’s mom? When it was announced that Broadway diva Idina Menzel was gonna be on Fox’s hit show Glee, fans hoped she’d be Lea Michele‘s mom–mostly because the two have an uncanny resemblance.

Instead, Idina played Shelby, coach of a rival choir. But there just might be more to her character. After all, no one from Glee ever denied that she could be Rachel’s mom.

“There is much more to her than has been revealed in the first episode that I was in. I will say that her intentions are not quite evil. She’s going to unravel more and show a different side to her personality. Maybe I’m going to be Lea [Michele]‘s lesbian lover. You never know!”

We don’t know about being Rachel’s lover because the age difference is lightyears. But Idina’s real character is really a torment to fans. We just wanna know what she’s up to!

But before that big reveal, the two are gonna do a duet of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face.”
