There are rumors circulating that Apple intends to include a camera into it’s iPods. Tech blog TechCrunch says it’s sources in Asia indicate that Apple has placed orders for a “massive number of camera modules of the type that they include in the iPhone.”
The iPhone closest brother, the iPod Touch, may be the best candidate for the camera upgrade but TechCrunch adds “But the order size is supposedly so large that some people in Taiwan are speculating that Apple may be planning to put cameras in the lower end of the iPod line, too.”
This could mean cheaper alternatives to the expensive iPhone 3G S, photos, and videos for all of the iPods (Classic and Nano). The poor iPod shuffle may be left in the dark though.
