Earlier this week, reports have suggested that the adorable couple Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have split-up. This rumor spread when a “close source” of the couple told People about it.

The two both starred in Rendition in 2007. After the film,  speculations arose that the two were dating. However it was only in the summer of 2008 that the rumor was confirmed, when Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal were spotted together, spending one Saturday walking along Marrakech hand-in-hand.

However, an updated story says the two are still on, and very much together. The couple’s reps, Nanci Ryder and Carrie Byalick both deny the rumor that Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal have split up. “It’s not true,” they said. Witherspoon is 33 years old, while Gyllenhaal is 28.

In one Vogue issue, Witherspoon talked about her new life and her new love. She said, “He’s very supportive. Suffice it to say, I’m very happy in life, and I’m very lucky to have a lot of really supportive people around me who care very much for me, and, you know, that’s all you can hope for in life. I am very blessed in that way.”
