There have been lots of buzz regarding the American Idol judges revamping. And among the new choices to make up the judge panel is Jennifer Lopez.

And it is reported that Lopez has recently signed the contract to finalize the deal of her joining in the judges’ panel of the 10th season of American Idol. This news broke out only a couple of hours after the 9th season American Idol judge  Ellen Degeneres announced her leaving the show despite her deal that should include several seasons.

Lopez already appeared on the reality talent show back in the sixth season, as a mentor on Latin night. She mostly had positive reviews for the way she handled the episode warmly and candidly. She was even able to elicit a not-so-bad performance of “Besame Mucho” from the constantly criticized Sanjaya Malakar.

The spokesperson from Fox refused to make any comments on the reported deal with Lopez. Fremantle Media, American Idol spokespersons, and Lopez’s reps also refused to return calls for comment.
