Besting everyone in the Britain’s Got Talent semi-final, Julian Smith and grandfather-granddaughter tandem 2 grand are now heading to the finals this Saturday and the winner gets a chance to perform at the Royal Variety in front of the Queen of England.
Smith, a 39-year-old musician, performed “All by Myself” by Eric Carmen and gained the three judges approval and praise as he performed the song using a saxophone.
The judges loved Smith, here are they’re comments:
Piers: “Your probably the coolest contestant we’ve ever had on the show, that was a brilliant performance and I think you can win the show with that saxophone.”
Amanda:“I think you are the best act so far. You stirred so many emotions in me because you played it so well, so thank you so much.”
Simon:“I think you’re going to be popular tonight and I think you’ve got a chance for Saturday night’s show.”
Also going to the finals are the the 2 Grand pair, Sally and John, who are actually related as grandfather and granddaughter. 2 Grand pair sang “Somewhere Out There” from the 1986 animated film “An American Tail”.
The performance was so heart-warming that Amanda even broke down in tears after the performance. Piers and Simon both had the same feelings and said the performance was “genuine” and loved 2 Grand’s sincerity.
