Reports say the former Idol host thought her gig at Idol was something that would last a bit longer. She was reportedly horrified that she was kicked out and is being replaced by Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.

“Kara loved judging Idol. She’s horrified that she’s just being tossed aside like this.”

“She understands the show is in need of a revamp, but Kara really thought she had a job for as long as she wanted it. She’s beside herself,” a source said.

After the show’s revamp has been finalized, the panel is said to consist of Lopez, Tyler, and Randy Jackson.

Rumors of the show’s revamp also broke in May, with people believing that the only person who’s definitely not leaving was Ryan Seacrest.
