If you think your TV is slim, think again. The South Korean electronics manufacturer LG has just unveiled their flat-screen television that measures only 7 millimeters thin–just a wee bit thicker than a poster board.
LG’s newest slimmest TV is so new, it doesn’t even have a name yet. But the public was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of this new beauty at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was brought up onstage during an LG press event.
Woo Paik, LG’s chief technology officer, said “This is a brand new product, and it’s very exciting.”
And although not much has been revealed about it, we know that LG has recently announced they were gonna launch a number of new television products in its Infinia line and that these TVs could be connected to the Internet and other home devices, which is referred to as “connected TV.” Could this slim TV belong to this “connected TV?” We’ll just have to wait a bit more. A spokeswoman from the company said this product will be available late this year.
