Ever felt too much anticipation over something that you feel you’re gonna die from over-excitement? Well, you might wanna avoid that feeling because in Taiwan, a 42-year-old man just died watching “Avatar.”
Perhaps due to over-excitement, the man, who was identified only by his surname Kuo, reportedly started feeling unwell while watching the movie in the northern city of Hsinchu. He was taken to the hospital.
Kuo arrived at the Nan Men General Hospital hospital unconscious. A scan showed that Kuo’s brain was suffering from hemorrhage, according to emergency room doctor Peng Chin-chih.
The doctor added, “It’s likely that the over-excitement from watching the movie triggered his symptoms.”
11 days after, Kuo died from the brain hemorrhage. China Times newspaper reports the unfortunate incident as the first death related to watching the blockbuster movie.
On Sunday at the Golden Globes, Avatar won Best Motion Picture Drama and James Cameron won best director.
