Is there no hope for the match between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. to push through? Boxing fans the world over mourn the unfortunate development that the two top fighters seem to be unable to agree on the terms.

The fight was supposed to be scheduled on March 13. But due to Mayweather’s insistence that Pacquiao and him submit to Olympic-style drug testing, the fight has been put on hold, and is doomed to be canceled.

Pacquaio’s promoter, Bob Arum, says time is running short and their team might not be willing to negotiate any more. What’s more, Arum said Mayweather is only scared of losing. He said, “I think it’s over tomorrow and we’re going to another opponent if there is no agreement. It looks to me like they want a way out of the fight. Mayweather doesn’t want to take a chance of losing.”

Well the two of them better get on with it, because a lot of us can’t wait for this fight to finally happen.

American is really Ellerbe, Mayweather's “companion”. Mayweather has been looking for a “weigh out” of this fight since Manny accepted March 13 date. Floyd Sr, said immediately after the Pacquiao-Cotto fight, I will tell my son not to fight Mayweather. So JR offered the March 13 date trying to save face thinking Manny will not accept and when Pacman accepted they had to think of a plan B. Now this drug testing gimmick is plan B. Any real fight fan has always known that Mayweather would never get in the ring and the manner in which Pacman destroyed Cotto and then their two common foes Hatton and De La Hoya, these even destroyed Mayweather's Psyche even more. Even if Pacquiao succombs and lets Mayweather bullying him into the testing. Mayweather will invent something else. He's not undefeated for the great boxers whom he's defeated but rather for the great boxers he has avoides, Shane Mosely, Miguel COtto, Paul Williams, and on and on.

A 10 ML blood sample takes less then 1 minute to fill a test tube. Who is fooling who?

They've come up b.s excuses like manny's scared of needles (despite all the tattoos) or that the blood test would drain him (the blood required is really tiny) in spite of the fact that floyd would be subjected to the same tests.

Besides its not just the mayweather's who have expressed suspicions other boxers like malignaggi and cintron have expressed similar sentiment, i would think that manny would be eager to clear up any false allegations once and for all by taking the more stringent tests. The fact that he has declined to seize this opportunity, i find to be suspicious

People with tattoo's can still be afraid of needles, its an entirely different situation, Mayweather is trying to duck another fight plain and simple, why hasn't he made these demands with other opponents like De LaHoya or Ricky Hatton? He's just looking for ways out, first he was unwilling to budge on a 65 – 35 split on the purse and then he throws out the March 13 date and now because all else has failed he's doing this. He's afraid of Pacquiao plain and simple.
