The Marine Corps Marathon, also known as the “People’s Marathon“, is a 26.2-mile race organized by the United States Marine Corps which starts at the National Mall and showcases the best of Arlington, VA and the nation’s capital.
The Marine Corps Marathon is the 9th largest marathon and the world’s largest marathon to not offer prize money.
The race ends at the Marine Corps War Memorial, earning the title of Marathon of the Monuments.
