Michael Jackson‘s former entertainment attorney has produced a will and testament purportedly made by the singer seven years ago. Lawyers representing Jackson’s mother are in the process of validating the document.
John Branca, who produced the document, began representing Jackson in 1980, but parted ways in 2006 over disagreements with other advisors. What’s noteworthy, however, is that Branca was signed again into commission by Jackson himself, eight days prior to his death.
“I just saw the will for the first time this morning. We are in the process of reviewing it. We did not see it prior to the filing,” said attorney L. Londell McMillan. “We wish we had known about it earlier.”
The will names Jackson’s mother as the guardian of his three children. It also called for the transfer of his assets into the “Michael Jackson Family Trust“.
