Up and coming Aussie singer Orianthi (Ori to her friends ) sings on American Idol’s Wednesday Episode, alongside David Cook and Ke$ha. David Cook was Season 7′s American Idol while Ke$ha has one of the top singles, Tik Tok.

For those who haven’t heard of Orianthi before, she just released a hit song of her own, entitled “According to You“, currently at the 18th spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Orianthi was first spotted as one of Carrie Underwood’s backing band during the Grammys last year. The gig helped open doors for her as she got an offer from Michael Jackson to be part of his “This Is It” concert tour. Though the tour was cancelled, she still got featured in the movie.

She just released her first album last October, Believe, which was produced by Howard Benson.
