Ziegfeld TheaterEven the president has something to say on what Kanye West did to Taylor Swift.

In an interview by ABC with US President Barack Obama, the president was heard to have called Kanye West a “jackass” for his infamous upstaging of Taylor Swift at the recent VMAs.

But the real deal is how did this leak out? It spurs a debate among journalists on whether or not the comment should have been released publicly. The comment apparently was made before the interview, when the reps and the president were having an informal banter.

So the question is, where do reporters draw the line on what to make public, and what to keep private?

The news was spread thru Twitter by ABC network employees. One named was a Terry Moran, a former White House Correspondent. Even though he deleted his tweet after about an hour, of course it already spread like a virus and now everyone knows.

I agree, totally with Obama. Kanye West is a nuisance. I'm not going to completely down Kanye because I believe what he said was 100% true, BUT theres no doubt that he was wrong for interrupting poor 17year old Taylor Swift like that. That should've been just one of those private things that you keep your self, as well as the comment Obama made. Obama obviously went about it the correct way, and I mean like it or not..everyone is entitled to their own opinion. He didn't make a broadcasted announcement about Kanye, he just commented on it before the interview. I believe that the line should've been drawn before the interview. Watever is not intended for the interview, should not ever go public.
