The much anticipated sequel, the Sex and the City, gives you another reason to watch it.

Penélope Cruz is reported to join the cast of the fab four– Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon.

According to sources, Cruz was seen filming a scene at New York City’s Empire Hotel wearing a sexy backless clack dress. Cruz will play someone who gets a little too close to Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Previous reports mistakenly said Cruz was going to play herself.

Also to appear in the movie is the legendary Liza Minnelli. She was said to have filmed for three days on the Manhattan set. After her scenes, Minnelli was said to have broken into a rendition of Every Time I Say Goodbye” for the cast and crew.

Says an on-set source, “A total hush fell over the set. You could have heard a pin drop, it was such a moving moment. Everyone had goose bumps, tears. It was a really lovely parting gift she felt like giving everyone.”
