Recently, US President Barack Obama generated much media hype when he successfully swatted and killed a fly during a conference over on national television. And PETA is not happy about it.

PETA has released an official statement comparing Obama to Buddha, saying that Obama is merely human, and thus, not perfect. “He isn’t the Buddha, he’s a human being and human beings have a long way to go before they think before they act,” PETA is reported to have said.

PETA is known for advocating the rights of animals worldwide, like recommending a vegetarian diet for people, with some arguing that they sometimes go overboard with their actions.
