The Detroit Red Wings have won Games 4 and 5 of this best of seven against the Phoenix Coyotes, playoff series to take a game lead,  3-2. The Red Wings can win the series at home tonight if they can beat the Coyotes for a 3rd straight victory. However, if the Coyotes pick up a road win this afternoon, the camps will meet for a decisive Game 7 Tuesday in Glendale.

Shane Doan has missed almost three full games due to an upper body injury.

“He’s right there,” coach Dave Tippett said. “It’s one thing when he has the desire to go, but he’s got to be functional to go. You can’t put a player in there that can’t compete in a game, especially the way he plays.

“We’ll continue to monitor that. He gets better every day,” hopes coach Dave.
