Rosie O’ Donnell and spouse Kelli Carpenter are rumored to be having issues. But according to O’Donnell’s publicist, no further comments will be made about the couple, on whether or not they’d be splitting.

In a statement by O’Donnell’s publicist to CNN, she said, “They are a family and will remain a family forever and are working through their issues.”

The rumor fired up this week after O’Donnell’s interview on USA Today wherein she did deny the rumors.

O’Donnell and Carpenter were married in a private ceremony in San Francisco, California in February 2004. San Francisco issued the two a marriage license two weeks after Mayor Gavin Newsom said his mayoral responsibility not to discriminate trumped a state law banning same sex marriages.

Then-President Bush announced on that same week that he would be seeking a Constitutional amendment to not allow marriage among same-sex couples.

Aside from being married, the two are also business partners. Their “R Family Vacations” organize cruises which are planned for gay couples.
