Sandra Bullock is having a major comeback. After the success of The Proposal, Bullock is now harvesting awards and acclaim with her performance in the film, The Blind Side.

Bullock was awarded the favorite movie actress at the 36th Annual People’s Choice Awards. Other nominees were Jennifer Aniston and Kristen Stewart. The awards show was televised Wednesday live from L.A.’s Nokia Theatre.

The Proposal was also hailed favorite comedy.

Upon accepting the award, Bullock was tearful and very grateful, “I am only up here because I am fortunate to work with people who make me look good. (Thanks] most of all to my family . . . Life is hard sometimes, but we get through with laughter. Thank you to everyone who voted because you’re voting for all the people who make me look good – and you’re making me look very good.”

Twilight,  was of course a crowd favorite. The vampire flick bagged four trophies in total including favorite movie, favorite on-screen team (an award given out to the entire cast) and favorite franchise.
