How does Sandra Bullock prepare for the Oscars? With a liposuction, the actress jokes.
Bullock was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Female Actor in a Lead Role–her very first Oscar nomination. Her role and performance in the film, The Blind Side, has been a breakthrough in her career. In the past her movies usually fall on romantic comedy categories, such as “Miss Congeniality” and “Two Weeks Notice.”
The Blind Side has also given her other critic nods from the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild.
Now at 45, it seems Bullock may finally take home the movie industry’s highest honor. “Who would have thought after all these years that I would be experiencing this moment now … I certainly didn’t,” she says.
Bullock is grateful to director John Lee Hancock and producer, Gil Netter, and the other Oscar-nominated actresses who include veterans Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren.
