A shooting took place at a convenience store in northwest suburban Schaumburg Wednesday night.

Police say two teens and a 12-year-old were injured in the incident that happen around 8:30 p.m. at a 7-11 near Bode and Gannon. A 12-year old and a 16-year old are listed in critical condition. A 14 year old teenager suffered a graze wound. All three were taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates

Witnesses say the victims were walking onto the store’s parking lot when someone drove by and opened fire. The shots were fired at them from inside a gold-colored extended cab pickup truck driving westbound on Bode Road.

“It’s way too early to have an idea on a motive. It’s pretty shocking to have three teenagers struck like that so were looking at every possibility right now its pretty random it looks,” said Sgt. John Nebl, Schaumburg Police Department. “We don’t have this happen very often in Schaumburg.”
