After the success with “Sherlock Holmes, ” it would come as no surprise that a sequel would follow. Robert Downey, Jr.  is eager to share a bit about Sherlock Holmes 2, confiding that it may be set in other countries aside from England.

“Yes, I think we’ll be abroad,” he shared to MTV Movie News and further added, “A bit of Paris, a bit of Switzerland by the end, if I’m not mistaken.”

The onscreen Sherlock Holmes confirmed that he will be reprising his role, saying, “I’m going to do ‘Sherlock 2′; it was one of my favorite experiences to date.”

It is not certain, however, if Rachel McAdams will be returning as Irene Adler, since her character only appeared in one of Doyle’s stories.

Robert was not able to confirm if the movie will have a 3d version released, stating that, “It’s hard to say,” and adding that, “Certainly, if you don’t do it as an option, then you don’t have that option. If the last six months have shown anything, it’s that audiences like options, and they will take advantage of them. And you’re leaving a bunch of dough on the table if you don’t shoot something in 3-D.”
