Does anyone have the star power to upstage Jay-Z and Rihanna? Turns out, Julez Knowles is not just anyone. The 5-year old son of Solange Knowles was present at the Grammys and he was onstage as Rihanna and Jay-Z accepted their award for their hit “Run This Town.” It won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.

Julez, also dressed in tuxedo, charmed the crowd when he was invited to accept the award. Jay-Z accepted the award, said a few words, then passed the mic to Rihanna who also said a few thanks and then she passed it on to Julez, to which the kid replied, “No thanks.”

Julez was born Daniel Julez Smith Jr. He is Solange’s son with ex-husband Daniel Smith. When Solange was pregnant she was featured in “soldier” video. Solange’s 2008 album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams includes “An Ode to Julez,” a song especially written for the boy.
