It’s final. The hunt for the host for the upcoming 82nd Oscars is over and they’re none other than Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.

For starters, Martin says, “I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin.” Martin has hosted previous Academy Awards, specifically the 73rd and 75th. But it is the first time for Baldwin.

The tandem is expected to boost ratings of the biggest Hollywood award show. Lately, such shows have ranked low on ratings.

Oscar producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic say Martin and Baldwin are ideal for the show. “We think the team of Steve and Alec are the perfect pair of hosts for the Oscars. Steve will bring the experience of having hosted the show in the past and Alec will be a completely fresh personality for this event.”

The 82nd Oscar Academy Awards will be broadcast Sunday, March 7, on ABC from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
