After Panthers’ Steve Smith endured a broken left arm, it seems we might actually miss the player in the finals.
Smith said during his post-game comments that the injury he sustained might keep him out of the season finale against the Saints.
Smith was injured during a 27-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. Smith said he immediately felt and knew that he was hurt.
According to him, “After I caught the ball, he hit me and I staggered into the end zone. I got tackled again, and when I got up I could feel it was kind of heavy and it was grinding. So I knew immediately.”
Panther’s coach said Steve Smith is due to have surgery on Monday.
During the game, Smith finished with five catches for 560 yards. He had 65 catches for 982 yards and seven touchdowns for the whole season.
