Kansas (29-2, 15-1) enters the 2010 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship as the No. 1 seed for the seventh time in the 14-year history of the league.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated Colorado 82-67 in the opening round on Wednesday. Kansas has won 10 conference tournament titles, including three of the last four and six of the 13 Big 12 championships. Since the Big 12′s inception in 1997, Kansas is 12-1 in its first games, 11-2 in the quarterfinals, 7-4 in semifinals and 6-1 in championship games.
