In line with Tiger Woods‘ keeping to a few what really happened on the night of his minor car accident, the golfer refused to show his face at the 2009 Chevron World Challenge. He cited the injuries which he obtained last week as the cause why he’s canceling on this scheduled appearance.
The acclaimed golfer was reported to have endured lacerations on the face after the unfortunate accident. Woods is yet to speak with the police to clear some questions which remain unanswered as charges remain to be pending.
Woods said, “I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week. I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I’m very sorry that I can’t be there.”
The Tiger Woods Foundation President & CEO Greg McLaughlin expressed his words of support, “We support Tiger’s decision and are confident the strong field and excellent course will provide an exciting week of competition at the Chevron World Challenge.”
The 2009 Chevron World Challenge will be held at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. It will commence on Wednesday on December 2, and will have a run until the weekend.
