If there’s one place in the world which celebrates New Year as it should be, it’s at Times Square in New York. Nothing beats the ball drop tradition.
The year’s New Year show in New York was hosted by Ryan Seacrest. It was aired at 10 pm ET, 9 pm central time on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on ABC.
Only the biggest names in the music industry came and performed for the huge crowd. Among the performers in New York were Jennifer Lopez and Chris Daughtry. Meanwhile, the Las Vegas show, which was hosted by Fergie was also stellar. Performers included the Black Eyed Peas, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Colbie Caillat, Orianthi and Robin Thicke.
The New York and Las Vegas show lasted about 3 1/2 hours of performances. Aside from the concerts, the New Year’s Eve Special also showed brief specials showing how countries celebrate and mark the new year.
