On Tuesday, Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks joined the cast of a new HBO miniseries at the National World War II Museum to launch “The Pacific.”

“The Pacific” is a 10-part miniseries which follows three U.S. Marines fighting in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Hanks is its executive producer.

The stars of the miniseries–James Badge Dale, Jon Seda and Joe Mazzello were all there for a screening of the first episode which was held at the convention center.

“The Pacific” debuts on HBO on March 14. It will cover some of WWII’s worst times, including Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

On a separate occasion, Hanks got in a bit of trouble when he went live on Regis and Kelly and called Ripa “Kathie Lee!” Way to go, Tom Hanks!

Tom must be overdoing his medicinal herb prescription. It does make you a bit forgetful.

Spielberg’s timing is impeccable. Just like when he released the,
in some ways admirable, ‘Empire of the Sun’ –a pean to China
and a guilt trip for westerners —just a year of two before the
    Tiennamen Square Massacre.

And then there are the revelations of the other –’peacetime’
‘social engineering’ campaigns —that exterminated 70,000,000.

None of that stopped Hollywood from making BILLIONS catering
to the franchise slum and denial needs of the MOST awesomely
genocidal regime history has EVER seen —over there —decades
    AFTER WWII —–ACROSS the Pacific.

What should be addressed —rigorously, and unflinchingly and
in a quality fashion —are the looming, indeed, gargantuan moral
et al implications of Hollywood’s —and now OUR —cross the boards
    sellout and self-sabotage

—-ESP. on this —the once again ‘mysteriously overlooked’
60th Anniversary of the truly epic, and STILL unfolding —-KOREAN WAR.

    STOP being such easy set-ups!

    AMEN
