Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and “Suga” Rashad Evans will headline the UFC 114 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 29, 2010. The two rivals will finally take their war of words to the octagon and battle it out with their fists.
Tickets to the event officially sold out but you can still watch the match on Pay-Per-View on iN DEMAND, DIRECTV, DISH Network, TVN, BellTV, Shaw Communications and Viewer’s Choice Canada for a suggested retail price of $44.95 for standard definition or high-definition broadcasts (where available).
The fight is also available on iTunes and Yahoo! Sports.
Rampage-Evans Rivalry
Jackson talks about why he fights and his word war with Evans: “Rashad is that type of guy that needs somebody’s coattails to ride,” said Jackson. “Rashad and I, we UFC 96 Rampage Jackson vs Keith Jardinefight for two different reasons. He’s probably fighting to be famous – he wants the fame and he likes the attention. I fight to pay the bills and take care of my parents and my family and stuff like that, and so I can travel the world and do the things I want to do. That’s the reason why I fight. So it’s not surprising to me that somebody like Rashad would do all this talking and say all this stuff to get a rise out of me because maybe in reality he don’t really mean it – he’s just trying to get famous. But at the same time, it’s pissing me off and it’s pushing me harder and harder when I train and that’s actually pretty good. The thing that’s actually shocking is that he’s trying to slip it around and say that I’m the one starting it and I’m the one talking all the trash – that’s the shocking thing.”
