It has been reported that Simon Cowell has ignored a Victoria Beckham backlash across the US to offer her a $1million per show on his new US X-Factor.

Just hours after Beckham’s TV debut as a guest judge on American Idol was slated by the US critics as “crazy” and a “failure,” Cowell made his phone call offer.

It seems the X-Factor boss is ignoring the naysayers and thinks his old pal has mileage.

It is believed that after a phone call on Tuesday night, Cowell, 50, offered the former Spice Girl, 35, four guest slots on his upcoming American X-Factor series at a rate of a million per show.

The handful of appearances would be used as a screen test with the view to go permanent which could earn Beckham tens of millions in the end, insiders claim.

The move by Cowell is set to send shockwaves through the Beckham camp as she is managed by Simon Fuller, the man behind the American Idol series which Cowell is going to try and upend after quitting his slot on the show.
