Warren Sapp is dancing to a different tune these days. According to reports from The South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the former NFL defensive lineman and Dancing with the Stars‘ Season 7 runner-up has been arrested on charges of misdemeanor domestic battery in South Florida.

Miami Beach Police Department tells the newspaper that Sapp is accused of attacking his girlfriend at around 5 am. This happened Saturday at the Shore Club Hotel in Miami.

Police did say that Sapp coordinate with the local police, with Miami Beach Police spokesman, Sgt. Juan Sanchez, telling the Sun-Sentinel that Mr. Sapp did volunteer when we approached him and asked him to come back for questioning The injuries of Sapp’s girlfriend were not divulged.

Sapp was scheduled to join the NFL Network as an analyst. But the NFL Network released the following statement: “We were made aware this afternoon of the arrest of Warren Sapp by the Miami Police Department. In light of these circumstances, Warren Sapp will not appear on NFL Network while we review the matter.”
