The Williams power pair have done it again and have skillfully defended their doubles crown from the Australian pairing of Sam Stosur and Rennae Stubbs with scores of 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.

Serena and Venus Williams fought to survive the first set with a score of 4-2. The sisters looked a bit tired from their previous match against each other for the singles crown, but nevertheless bounced back at the game with a superb power play that evened out the score to 4-4 and eventually won the set on their second set point.

In the second set the Australian pair gave it their all engaging in superb tennis plays that even the Williams acknowledged it saying, “They’re a really good team, so they definitely pushed us to play our best tennis on the most important points”.

Serena Williams was the happiest after the game taking home half of the double credit and the women singles crown.
