Okay, I’ve been teasing Floyd Mayweather’s date with inmates for quite some time now, taking a jab at Floyd’s senseless insults on Filipino boxing champ and Saranggani congressman Manny Pacquiao. But it seems our local hero may face jail time too.

Rozil Lozares, a regional director for the Bureau of Internal Revenues said that a complaint was filed on the Koronadal court first day of March against the boxing champ for failure to submit documents pertaining to his tax returns even after sending three notices and a subpoena. Investigators have been studying the “discrepancies” found in Manny’s 2010 tax return considering his many businesses and endorsements.

The congressman explained that there may have been some miscommunication or honest error on the part of his staff and stressed that he has no intention of violating Philippine laws on tax.

“I already sent a staff member to the BIR office. But if they saw something wrong, I wish they would give us enough time to correct,” the boxer told GMA-7.

If found guilty of the contempt charges, he may serve up to two years in prison.
