A third-grade student named Mackenzie Melton won Google’s Doodle 4 Google contest and will be showcased on Google’s homepage twenty four hours starting May 27 (Thursday).

The contest was to create a doodle for Google’s home page based on the theme, “If I could do anything, I would…” Melton won with a picture of the rainforest, entitled “Rainforest Habitat”.
The doodle was judged by people who with work for Disney, Mattel, Pixar, and other fields of cartooning and illustration.
Melton will be taking home a $15,000 college scholarship, a netbook computer and $25,000 technology grant for a computer lab for her school.
