Value is now making it’s comedic class-based shooter Team Fortress 2 free to play for both Mac and PC!

According to Wired, gamers can now download Team Fortress 2 from Steam free of charge and play all nine character classes, all official and mod-made maps and the game’s bumper stock of updates.

Value will be earning solely from it’s in-game hats and upgraded guns micro-transactions.

Valve’s Team Fortress lead Robin Walker assured Develop Online that non-paying gamers will not be subjected to advertising, there will be no premium subscription models and having a massive wallet won’t automatically let you buy the best weapons and trounce the competition.

Team Fortress 2 now features an easier training mode, another Payload map and new weapons for the Medic class.
